Dedicated laser protocols for pigmentation and melasma
For stubborn dark spots left behind by cumulative sun exposure, pregnancy (melasma), ageing or past breakouts, our clinic uses personalised pigmentation protocols. Treatment is a combination of fractional lasers, Q-Switched technology, enzymatic peels and pigmentation mesotherapy, planned according to how deep the pigmentation lies. Before treatment, a digital pigmentation analysis is carried out with a Wood's lamp. During the healing process the spots first darken briefly, then flake away, and the skin tone evens out.
Opens micro channels without damaging the upper layer of the skin, allowing brightening actives to reach the deeper layers.
Targets the deep, darkly pigmented layer directly without affecting the surface of the skin, and breaks up the pigment.
Considered the gold standard in the treatment of sun spots and melasma; it suppresses the enzyme that produces pigment.
At our practice in Muratpaşa, Antalya, pigmentation treatment is planned individually around your facial anatomy, with a natural result as the priority. Assessment and treatment are carried out personally by Dr. Gökhan Elmabaşoğlu.
Permanent results are achieved with freckles and age spots; hormonal pigmentation such as melasma can recur if sun protection is not maintained.
Modern pigmentation lasers that do not peel the skin can be used all year round; the winter months are preferred for ablative lasers and stronger peels.
Depending on how deep the pigmentation lies, 3 to 8 sessions are planned at intervals of 2-3 weeks.
